AFP Nashville Achievement of Excellence Award

David Grant

David Grant, was recently granted the Association for Financial Professionals Nashville Achievement of Excellence Award!  The 2014-2015 Board of Directors unanimously approved the nomination.  The award was established to recognize members of AFP Nashville, past members of AFP Nashville or individuals in the Middle TN Community that have excelled in the Finance & Treasury field or have made substantial additions to the success of the AFP Nashville Chapter.  This Award represents the highest achievement in the Finance & Treasury field as available through Association for Financial Professionals – Nashville Chapter.

David has had a storied career in Treasury and Accounting here in Nashville.  He began his career in Nashville with LifeWay in 1979.  35 years later, David remains at LifeWay and asks the question each day, "How can we do this better?".  Over these 35 years, David has made many friends along the way.  He has given much to the field being both a member of the Association For Financial Professionals on a national and local level.  Since the early 1980’s, David has been an active member of AFP Nashville, serving on the board in various roles

David has also been recognized for his impact by LifeWay, receiving the Career of Excellence Award in 1999, and given critical responsibility in multiple system implementations at LifeWay.  As the award truly embodies, David has excelled in the Accounting & Treasury field as well as made substantial additions to the success of the AFP Nashville Chapter.
